Boston is Among the Most Convenient US Cities

August 27, 2011 |

Why do we love living in Boston so much? We continue to put up with its harsh winters and hot, humid summers, because it’s one of the greatest cities in the nation. Boston neighborhoods are among the best and to own a Boston home means having the keys to a unique and evolving cityscape.

Aside from being a very rich and active cultural center (exquisite museums, orchestras, theaters, opera), Boston is best known as a walking city – named one of the most convenient US cities. With a variety of neighborhoods, all buzzing with excitement, you have your pick of top specialty shops, great restaurants, small boutiques and eclectic galleries.

Walking through the South End, you see streets and private squares lined with proudly appointed brownstones showcasing one of a kind, historic architecture. Many South End condos have private gardens and roof decks that are immaculately landscaped. Step outside your door to find avant-garde restaurants and sidewalk cafes, then continue walking through the tree-lined streets to people watch and absorb the surrounding vibrant energy.

The new buzz in the city is the new Seaport District that never sleeps, full of newly opened restaurants and bars overlooking the harbor with fantastic views. The place to be on a hot summer night – right on the water sipping a cool cocktail.

Needless to say that walking through Boston’s Back Bay and quaint Beacon Hill is a pure joy. Strolling past the majestic Boston homes built in the mid 1800’s, along the gas-lit cobblestone streets, until you reach the gorgeous Public Garden and Charles Street, which is full of shops, antique stores, and delicious restaurants.

Every Boston neighborhood has its own wonderful allure and character. They each provide their residents with something unique and comfortable, welcoming guests to take advantage of their charm.

How did you decide which Boston neighborhood to call home?
