$9M – $25M Luxury Residences for Sale from Boston to Cape Cod

July 30, 2011 |

The Boston luxury real estate market has not had much attention paid to it, which is surprising because it’s one of the stronger markets in the nation. The Boston Globe recently published an article outlining recent home sales and stated luxury condos in Boston are selling for 13% more this quarter than the beginning of the year. Similar trends should continue in the local luxury market, considering Boston high-end condo sales have fared better than housing markets statewide.

There are 32 luxury properties currently on the market in Eastern Mass, ranging in price from $9M to $25M. A number of these listings are located in the Back Bay and Beacon Hill neighborhoods, right in the heart of the city. A couple of property types are available here, including historic single family brownstone mansions, and high-end condominiums in one of the several full service residential buildings with a concierge on hand.

If Boston is a little fast-paced for your taste, more suburban Brookline is only a quick drive to the financial district. You can even walk to the Back Bay in a few minutes from certain areas in Brookline, including the exclusive Cottage Farm neighborhood. It has the convenience of city living with the advantage of land and garden space. In Boston/Brookline, there are over 10 very high-end, exquisite residences on the market with asking prices from $12M-$25M. Although a couple of these properties are not officially on the market, they can be viewed upon request. Contact me if you’d like to find out which properties are available.

In the Western suburbs of Weston/Wayland/Concord/Lincoln, there are seven spectacular luxury residences on the market. They range from 6-10 bedrooms, have vast, rolling landscapes, personal tennis courts, indoor/outdoor pools, home theaters and other spectacular amenities with all the bells and whistles. The asking prices vary up to $19.5M.

Cape Cod and Island (Nantucket/Martha’s Vineyard) homes are also a valuable commodity. There are numerous $9M+ luxury homes currently for sale. These properties are a fantastic investment, since they are worth much more in a stronger economy. A beach house is a superb way to stay cool during the dog days of summer and  only a quick getaway from the City.

Whether you prefer a luxury condo in Boston, a single family home with a pool in the western suburbs, or a house on the beach, the Boston luxury real estate market can accommodate your wish list and exceed your expectations of high-end living.
